WORK
SELECTED CASES. REAL PROBLEMS. RESOLVED SYSTEMS.
AR STUDIO works across strategy, identity, product and execution. These cases are shown through the decisions, constraints and problem-solving that moved each project from its starting point toward market.
01 — FAITH / BRAND & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
THE BRIEF
A client approached AR STUDIO with the idea of creating a clothing brand and a website. We reframed the project around purpose, audience and a reason to exist—then developed the name FAITH as a contemporary streetwear concept centered on belief, conviction and the client’s desire to support the care of street cats.
SCOPE
Strategy · naming · identity · color direction · product design · patternmaking · fabric evaluation · sampling · fittings · embellishment testing · production planning · digital presentation.
CHALLENGE & ADAPTATION
During development, the original Pima cotton became unavailable as tariff uncertainty and import constraints disrupted sourcing. Sampling, production and transportation costs also increased sharply. AR STUDIO paused development, reassessed the sourcing and production plan, shifted part of sampling to local resources and worked with suppliers in Peru to identify a high-quality 100% Peruvian cotton alternative. The fabric was validated for hand feel, weight, drape, fit and construction before development resumed—protecting the client’s investment while preserving the collection’s quality and visual direction.
02 — DEEPER / ENGINEERED APPAREL DEVELOPMENT
THE BRIEF
From across the room, the wearer should appear to be dressed in tailoring. Only when someone looked closer should they realize the entire look was printed onto a T-shirt.
AR STUDIO developed the naming, identity, garment concept, digital illustration, material direction, sampling, production system, labels, hangtags, website and digital presentation.
THE TECHNICAL PROBLEM
Cotton could not reproduce the photographic precision the concept required through sublimation. AR STUDIO identified a recycled performance fabric that aligned more closely with the client’s environmental direction while allowing high-definition print.
Every seam, stripe, belt, pocket and tailoring detail was illustrated in Adobe Illustrator and engineered to connect across the garment—from front to back and through the side seams. Stretch, temperature, pressure, print response and alignment were tested repeatedly. Nearly 50 development tests were required before the system was resolved and production could move forward.
OUTCOME
A technically demanding idea became a complete, production-ready brand and finished product system.
03 — KUXKO / COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT
A contemporary apparel project informed by Andean textile heritage and developed through silhouette, proportion, color, garment detailing and styling. The case demonstrates how cultural reference can be translated into a modern product language without reducing it to decoration.
